Community Life: Parent Service Organization (PSO)

The PSO purposes to serve students, staff, and families through the development and direction of volunteer opportunities and programs at Fox Valley Christian Academy. The PSO oversees the room parent program that provides a parent coordinator for each classroom. Room parents schedule parent facilitators for the Ready Reader, Art Helper, and Story Writer programs. PSO members also assist with hot lunch, construction projects, fundraising, and staff appreciation events.

PSO sponsors a Prayer Coffee on the last Friday of each month. All parents are invited to support the school through prayer at this monthly meeting. Educational programs designed to enhance and encourage positive parenting skills are hosted by the PSO throughout the year.

PSO supports programming for students and staff at FVCA through several fundraising projects. Fundraising efforts include sales during Parent/Teacher Conferences and the greenschool project. The greenschool project provides additional funding for our school AND it reduces the millions of pounds of toxic cartridge and cell phone waste dumped into landfills each year.
