Kids' Station is designed to provide quality after-school care on a regular basis for FVCA students in a fun, caring, and productive environment. Academy students are accepted on a drop-in basis if room is available. Reservations must be phoned into the Academy office by 2:00 PM.

Kids' Station follows the school calendar year, opening the first day of school and closing the last with care available until 5:30 PM. Kids' Station is closed when FVCA is closed, either for scheduled closings or closings due to inclement weather. Kids' Station is available to FVCA students only.
 

Schedule of Activities

3:15 PM-3:30 PM		Snack time Juice and a healthy snack are available with the purchase of a juice and snack card from the Academy office.
3:30 PM-4:15 PM		Outdoor play/Gym time
4:15 PM-5:00 PM		Homework/Project time
5:00 PM-5:30 PM		Wind-down time

Activities include games, videos, arts and crafts, and music, as well as time for homework and reading in an attempt to provide an enjoyable experience for all.

Although the atmosphere in Kids' Station is more relaxed than the academic setting, students in Kids' Station are expected to adhere to the same behavioral guidelines as FVCA. A routine discipline system is used that includes parental notification and a denial of services, if necessary.
 

Registration

There is a yearly family registration fee of $10.00. Parents may register their children in Kids' Station by completing an enrollment form and remitting the registration fee to the Academy office. Registration begins in August for the upcoming academic year.
 

Daily Fees

The fee for Kids' Station is $3.50/hour and prorated for every additional quarter of an hour per student. This after-school care is paid for by purchasing hourly punch cards in advance from the Academy office. Cards are available in 5-,20-, or 40-hour increments to meet each family's needs. Each child is checked into Kids' Station by a staff member, who punches the card and notifies parents when they need to purchase a new card. Students must be signed out of Kids' Station by a parent or authorized emergency contact.

NOTE: No refunds or credits are issued unless Kids' Station is canceled.
