Student Life: Lego League

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 whose mission is to inspire students in science and engineering. Each year, FIRST Lego League announces a challenge that teams must answer by building a robot capable of performing various "missions." Teams then gather for local and state tournaments, where they are recognized for their teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, strategy, design, and leadership.

FVCA students in grades 4-8 can participate in the FIRST Lego League. The program is supervised by a team of parent facilitators.
